On Aug 8, the 12-day summer edition of the 31^st FISU World University Games came to a successful conclusion. After the great performance at the opening ceremony, we helped make the closing ceremony a youth carnival with excellent visual services and nearly 2,000 m² LED products, including irregular shaped floor LED displays, LED display hot air balloons, LED display for comments, likes and livestreaming, and portable LED screens.

It’s the second time we got deeply involved in the opening and closing ceremonies of Universiade after the opening and closing ceremonies of Universiade Shenzhen 2011 where we provided nearly 10,000 m² LED display products, becoming a provider who participated twice both in the Olympic Games and the Universiade.

Unlike previous editions, this out-of-box ceremony was “moved in” an open-air music park in its entirety, showing the world a colorful Chengdu through innovations in site setting, visual display and others. There were actors performing deep in the audience area from time to time nearby, the plot and characters of the main thread of closing ceremony in the middle, and an atmosphere created by the dusk, lawns, and campfire at a distance… The creators used the "far, middle and near" spaces to involve the audience into the performance and extend and enlarge the scene indefinitely, creating a free and romantic atmosphere while bringing boundless happiness to people here.

As the core image of the closing ceremony, our 1280 m² irregular shaped floor LED screens used cutting-edge visual effect technology to show the growth and bloom of davidia involucrate, a symbol of life and vitality. Known as the "giant panda of the plant world”, davidia involucrate has survived 60 million years and has bracts that resemble the wings of a dove and dark red inflorescences that look like the head of a dove. Hence, it is also named "dove tree" that spreads peace and hope for a better world.

Livestreaming was seamlessly integrated into the whole closing ceremony to enrich a single performance space. A CCTV studio was set up right in the center of stage as part of the show. Comments, likes, and memes sent by audience in the studio were shown on Leyard LED displays.

Our creative LED products were everywhere at the ceremony. For example, three LED display hot air balloons were hung above the center of stage and digitally controlled to move up and down. Sixteen portable LED screens were combined in different ways on the stage through wireless excitation.

The closing ceremony represents the perfect ending of Chengdu Universiade and a new beginning. Next, we will continue to promote sports as a responsible national brand with excellent products and services.
